Railway systems are subject to high safety requirements. The safety proof is required for all new and further development of components, partial systems and complex system solutions.
Background
The risk analysis process is carried out in accordance with directives and standardised procedures (CSM-Regulation, error tree analysis etc.).
Solution
The CERSS Kompetenzzentrum Bahnsicherungstechnik follows a risk-orientated approach in line with the recognised technical regulations and relevant standards. Thus, specially developed procedures as well as methods in conformity with standards are applied for risk and safety analysis.
Result
The result of risk and safety analysis is to identify the necessary safety levels (i.e. Safety Integrity Level – SIL) for systems in the railway area.
